Some of the Things That You Do Not Need
Not going to research or site references. You can do that, if you choose.
1. Shampoo
2. Hair Conditioner
3. Deodorant
4. Make Up
5. Skin Cream
6. Body Soap
7. Perfume/Cologne
I suppose it has been roughly 36 years since I have used any of these, except body soap, where I occasionally used Dr. Bronner’s. Ocassionally, as in once every 5 years or so, the excpetion being my hands if I got oil, grease, gasoline, or glue on them. (I do still use a simple detergent for dishes sometime, mainly if I have prepared food with butter.)
The last time I recall attempting to use deodorant was in 1989 or 1990, when I tried out some clear stone that was supposedly for this type of thing. I didn’t see the point and dropped that.
I have no proof, but the skin/body slowly has it’s own microcosm grow and maintain itself, when left alone. Helathy bacteria eats what would possibly cause odor. If you constantly strip this micro-organism away, you will stink, and so you ignoranly may reach for soap instead of allowing the bacteria to come back.
I have very low stink, under the arms, if I wear the same shirt for 3 or 4 days. That is about it.
Even that would maybe be erradicated if I sweated more and ate even healthier, but body odor is good, though one that comes from perversions rightfully offends a healthy nose.
Shampoo? Please. No one needs that. A healthy diet leads to healthy hair. Dandruff? My guess is this is usually caused by using hot water, which dries out the scalp. Shower with cold water only for two months as an experiemnt, and see if your dandruff does not go away.
Make up? Are you starring in horror movies, like Lon Chaney did? If so, I suppose I can excuse you. As for all the women painting their lips so that they resemble a vagina while the female is in heat, you can drop that. It is not necessary. Make up on women is sort-of strange. Are you a clown? I personally am not a fan, but that is me.
I even wore make-up in the early 80’s, mainly eye liner like Keith Richards. We mature.
Perfume is generlly toxic. It not only gives you cancer, potentially, but it gives it to me and anyone else that has to inhale it. My body is repulsed by the chemical bite of perfume and cologne odors. The subway sometimes becomes a subtle toture chamber in this respect.
Society is basically wrong about everything.
PS-Most of those soaps come in plastic containers and are shipped using fossil fuel, and for what? Not only do you not need them, but they make things worse.
PPS-Better to be kind and use shampoo than to be mean and not. That is a given, but why not attempt both kindness and not using unnecessary things?
PPPS-I still love you, regardless.
